Industrial quality: everyday challenges
In the manufacturing sector, control plans make it possible to define when, how, and on which products to carry out checks and sampling. When these activities are managed through unstructured tools or manual processes, the risk of errors, delays, and lack of traceability increases significantly.
With the ProLab.Q Control Plans vertical, activation of controls happens automatically, without operator intervention, ensuring full traceability of the entire process.
How the ProLab.Q vertical works
At the heart of the system is the rule configurator, which makes it possible to precisely define the conditions that trigger sampling.
Data coming from production systems, typically an MES, is acquired in real time and managed through the PQ Service. When the conditions set out in the rule are met, the system automatically generates the sample complete with all the necessary information, and triggers the notification flow to the laboratory.
The process takes place asynchronously with respect to operational activities: the operator is not required to wait for processing and can continue without interruption. Each sample is also tracked against the rule that generated it and the events that triggered its activation, ensuring a complete reconstruction of the history.
Configurable features for every need
ProLab.Q does not impose a single model: rules adapt to the specific needs of each production environment.
Multi-site management
It is possible to define differentiated rules for each production site, while maintaining a centralized view of control processes.
Rule configuration
Rules can include the definition of the activity's name and type, the customer or supplier involved, the items subject to control, and sampling logic based on count, time, quantity, or batch.
Additional customizable conditions, optional informational fields, and limit groups are also available. When needed, sampling activation can be forced even outside the standard expected conditions.
Checks, notifications, and automatic samples
Each rule is associated with specific checks, individual tests, or structured packages. Once the rule is triggered, the system automatically generates the sample and sends email notifications to the configured recipients.
The entire workflow requires no intermediate manual intervention, ensuring operational continuity even in complex production environments.
Concrete benefits for the company
Working with ProLab.Q changes the way quality control fits into the production flow. Manual steps are reduced, errors decrease, and the time between an event occurring and the response shortens.
