The first edition of the Quarta EVO Forum has just concluded — the event that has already become a benchmark in Italy for companies, Quality Managers, and decision makers interested in the evolution of Quality Processes.
The event brought to the forefront of discussion all the key technologies currently available to Quality teams: Digitalization, Artificial Intelligence, advanced Workflows, IT integration, and automation applied to strategic processes such as Quality Control, Problem Solving, Document Management, Supplier Qualification, and Customer Satisfaction.
The Forum demonstrated how Quality is taking on an increasingly central role in the digital transformation and competitiveness of manufacturing companies.
Quality Beyond Compliance: the New Strategic Role of Quality
The session was opened by Bernhard Konzet, CEO of Blulink, with a presentation focused on the concept of “Quality beyond compliance,” shifting the focus from simple reactive conformity to proactive strategy.
His presentation made it clear that today’s Quality System can no longer be limited to mere regulatory compliance, but must evolve into a strategic lever integrated into business processes.
Digitalizing, integrating, and optimizing Quality Processes makes it possible to:
- reduce the Costs of Non-Quality;
- increase operational efficiency;
- ensure governance and control;
- improve management’s decision-making capabilities;
- support company economic growth.
Value no longer resides exclusively in the software, but in the ability to combine technology, services, and governance to build integrated, measurable systems oriented toward continuous improvement.
Quarta EVO AI 2.0: Artificial Intelligence in support of the Quality team
The presentation by Matteo Giunchedi, CEO of LIV4, showcased the practical evolution of AI applied to Quality with the launch of Quarta EVO AI 2.0.
The new features demonstrate an evolution of AI applied to Quality:
- multimodal inputs: the AI receives and understands voice audio, emails, PDFs, and Word files;
- automatic generation of Non-Conformances, Complaints, and Control Plans;
- creation of reports, charts, and analyses from simple requests;
- intelligent retrieval of information from complex document archives.
This evolution enables Quality teams to reduce operational times, improve analysis, and increase accessibility to strategic information. Quality Digitalization thus enters a new phase, where AI and intelligent Workflows become everyday work tools.
Investing in innovation: the regulatory framework for investing in Quality
Technology must also be sustainable from a financial standpoint.
Luca Pietranera, CEO of Corporate Studio, shed light on the new regulatory framework for tax incentives, analyzing the details of the new super-depreciation 2026 – 2028.
The presentation provided a technical overview of the tax opportunities linked to the adoption of QMS software in the coming years, specifying:
- who is eligible to access it;
- the period during which investments can be accessed;
- the new incentive tax rates
- what it specifically applies to (licenses or SaaS)
- regulatory references and non-final previews from the draft implementing decree
Industrial case studies: SACMI and SAES Getters
The validity of a system is measured in the field.
The Quarta EVO Forum 2026 also gave ample space to digital transformation case studies through the experiences of SACMI and SAES Getters. Mauro Ferri of SACMI demonstrated how Quarta EVO AI supports Supplier Acceptance, Quality Control, and Non-Conformance management processes in complex industrial environments, while Maurizio Santangelo of SAES Getters illustrated an integration journey between systems, workflows, and stakeholders to optimize Testing, NC & CAPA, SPC, and maintenance.
Both case studies highlighted how AI and digitalized Processes can improve operational efficiency and contribute to cost reduction.
A complete overview of the Quality of the future
In the afternoon, the live demo sessions on the Quarta EVO modules dedicated to Quality Control, Problem Solving, Supplier Management, Customer Satisfaction, and Document Management confirmed Blulink’s vision: Quality remains the engine of competitiveness.
Each session highlighted the contribution of Artificial Intelligence and advanced Workflows in simplifying operational activities, improving data management, and reducing complexity, time, and Costs of Non-Quality.
